As much as I dont love it, I think Tanev could be a target, but at an actual reasonable cost with conditional picks involved. Hell, Benning seems to like his 4th liners, maybe we could sell him Freddy the Goat, or Colin Greening

Leafs currently looking at 5 defenseman. Yes 5. Have touched base with CAR, STL, FLA, VAN and MIN. Faulk, Parayko, Petrovic, Tanev and Dumba. Parayko seens unlikely but the other 4 are very much in play. Leafs dangling: Gardiner/Brown/1st rounders/Leivo/Sparks/Pickard.
