Can confirm Leafs dropped out of de Haan sweepstakes more than 24 hours ago. Leafs also have eyes on two possible trade partners to shore up Defense |

Not surprised. Term is a bigger issue than anything these days. Plus their money as a signing bonus on July 1st instead of majority in salary. I learned this weekend that's to protect the player from lock outs. Signing bonuses are still paid in the event of a lock out whereas salary isn't. |
