Doughty was playing with Jack Johnson on the top PP unit for the Kings, and JJ handily outscored him in 10-11 and 11-12. It's not Provorov's fault the Flyers use 4 forwards and Ghost is one of the best PP players in the league.

So yes, it is his fault. He is not better than Ghost on the PP. Thank you. He currently, is not good enough to crack our top PP.

I think his point is that Doughty was so good even on the PP that another player was not going to keep him off the top PP unit. He hasn't said in any way that Provorov is a bad defenseman.

Just for discussion but would any of you have interest in Karlsson? With the prospect depth would you do something like Rubtsov, Sanheim, 2019 1st(top 5 protected), 2020 2nd rounder? Add in Laughton is needed?

Provorov, Karlsson and Gostisbehere is a pretty good top 3. I know you'll have to pay Karlsson and Provorov but wouldn't it be worth it for those two?

Honestly that is what theyve been doing. Seemed like they just lacked a general vision. They made several really good trades. Almost Holmgren like in that regard. Some really good trades and then some that just baffled you. Every time they took a step forward they would take one back. They could've drafted better, no doubt, but they made some good picks too. Say they do bottom out this year and grab Jack Hughes...that would be awesome for them with Barzal, Wahlstrom, and Dobson. Pulock is starting to look better

I don't think you are factoring in how much salaries are about to increase after the signings of this summer and the cap about to hit 80 million. Today's 8 million was 6.5 just a couple of years ago. Tyler Myers got 5.5 per coming right off his ELC and that was 7 years ago. Provy may not get 8, but it if he goes 8 and I think that's what Hextall will be aiming for, it won't be less than 7.5 million per.

seriously think about it, Giroux got 8.275 4 years ago. JVR for 7 this year. Even at 30 it would be interesting to see what Giroux would get if he were a UFA
