4 years at 5.625mil per

This is why I'd try to lock him up this summer. Right now, I think you can get him for four years will an aav under 4.5 million. However, if he goes out this upcoming season and puts up 25 goals and 55-60 points, the deal just got a lot more expensive.

So deep, you can see 1-2 years from now, I can imagine G and Jake playing 3rd line minutes..

Bill,

with the youth movement in the NHL and long it has been going, do you know about how many other teams are as deep as the Flyers? Are we just being homers and the league is just that deep or the Flyers really have 1 of the few elite systems?

I wouldn't go 8 years on Konecny.

5 at 5 seems like something that would be fair.

Oh, absolutely on de Haas. Just noting that he definitely stood out. But he could definitely help on what will be a depleted AHL defense this year.

Friedman reminds me a bit of Marc-Andre Bourdon. Solid, can be a bit feisty, and good in all 3 zones. If he can keep refining his game, I think he would make an excellent 7th defenseman, a la Manning/Alt.

Friedman
De haas
Myers in all likelihood to start
Wilcox is back most likely
Brennan
Drake

Prob will add another ahl vet to the mix

I'm not quite ready to lock up TK for 8 years, but I'd go as much as 6 years and 30 million, aav 5.0 million

There is no way you getting Provy that cheaply. He is already an established #1 Dman on a playoff team who plays nearly 25 minutes per game. 8 years at 65 million, aav 8.125 is probably what it will end up costing them and I think he's worth every penny.

I'm not Bill, but most hockey sites and publications have ranked the Flyers prospects among the top 5 groups in the league for a few years now.

I just have this feeling that provorov is one of those good hearted sign me for 10 years 50 million deal. Money only matters so much. At least a part of me Hope's that's true and it allows us ridiculous flexibility in the future.

Tk I like 6 years that seems to be hexy forte as well.

because what if the young, dynamic player that is integral to the success of the top 6 and fits perfectly into the Flyers timeline suddenly becomes bad!?!?!

Manning turned himself into a nhl player seemingly from nothing. An ideal 7th d man. He is not responsible for his usage.

It’s a little bit like Hagger [Robert Hägg] at the end of the year, right? Hagger got injured and all of a sudden, he’s out of the lineup. He didn’t deserve to be out of the lineup, he was hurt. When he’s ready to come back, other guys were playing pretty well, so you never really get your spot back.

I expected this place to be blowing up over this quote.....

Corey Pronman at ESPN had them ranked as a top 5 farm system last year. The Hockey Writers had them #1 in their preseason rankings last year also.

Don't forget the Ekblad deal was signed when the top dmen in the league were all making 9 million or less. The cost and the cap, have gone up. 8.125 is a good deal for a #1 Dman heading into 19-20. Figure by the final year, when Provorov will only be 29 at the start of the season, the cap will probably be at least 95 million. 8.125 under a 95 million cap is roughly equivalent to 6.9 million under an 80 million cap. It would be a great signing.

Maybe a little long on TK but I probably wouldn't hate it if that happened.

I'm fully on board with 8 years for IP, but I think the dollars will be $7m per year at a minimum.
