That really isn't true I know I was one of the people that was ready to put the C on his chest the first year after Jack's rookie year

There were a lot of people that wanted ROR the captain we thought he was the guy with his interviews etc but then we found out he was Rex Ryan

He was traded to a team that was drafting a "generational talent." He had to have known it was always going to be Jack's team.

ROR had the option to act as a temporary 1C/stellar 2C and mentor Jack. But he chose to resent the fact that Jack was always getting the keys to the lambo.
