I don't really understand this place, it's like reading through the twilight zone during a fever dream.

The last 3 months here most of the posters have been talking about RoRs issues in the room, how a trade involving him would be fine as long as there was a fair return and Mitts would be protected and would make us better next year and in the future.

Many people were really happy about the price of a 1st, 2nd, and a prospect.

Then yesterday, we make a trade that checks literally every single one of those boxes:

We get the first and second round picks

We get two "third liners" that produced more 5v5 goals each than RoR had last year and who can take some pressure off Mitts.

We get a 20 year old prospect who is better than our lord and savior Alex Nylander.


We got exactly what we needed. We changed the culture at a fair price. We are better next year immediately and the futures will make us better down the road.

All of this happened by trading a player who will be a 3C in 2 years.

And many people here are imploding.

Prospects always lose value from year 1-2.

Mark my words if Kyrou doesn’t light up the A, or produce in the NHL, the hype on him will decrease

Even if ours is top 15, SJ and StL won't be. I still doubt whoever has the 1st pick will trade it. I can't recall anyone trading the 1st pick.

Murray had no appreciation for chemistry, he was bold and entertaining but was ignorant to reality vs. his vision on paper. The guy traded Pysyk for Kulikov, forget about it.

This organization and team got better yesterday. No 1 player can make or break a team, the arguments on here are all about supporting players. Botts traded a supporting player for futures and a young, shoot first player that he sees playing with Eichel or Mitts as a core piece. Worth the price. I'm very pleased with the direction Botts is heading, some crazy German comes on here sometimes and says " I think we're going to be good" and I agree.

For the amount of moves made by the Sabres,they’re not a vastly speedier team than last year. Dahlin and Sheary will help with that, but Berg and Sabotts won’t.
