Lost in all of this is that St. Louis is paying his bonus.

Clearly they would have rather paid O'Reilly a boatload of extra cash than part with Thomas or Kyrou. My guess is that they were never on the table.

So Botts got the 4th best prospect by your count.. Ok you have the right to that opinion. But could there be a chance that he was the 2/3rd prospect for Botts? I mean, you're not right all the time, and I doubt you've done the extensive work on viewing these prospects that an NHL GM has done. Looking at a highlight reel only tells you so much. But if it really bothers you this much, there are 30 other franchises you can be a fan of. Feel free.
