What I wanna know is why people here are ecstatic that we didn't have to pay ROR his bonus . Why? It helps literally no one but Pegula. Why should we give a damn about what money our billionaire owner is saving, especially when potentially it lowers the potential return we could get.

But like what someone already mentioned, Botts said if the Sabres paid the bill it would have changed O'reilly's asking price, which means Botts would have wanted more. O'reilly would have been untradable, then. He's not Crosby, how much more could we have possibly gotten out of anyone? He's slow, doesn't produce 5 on 5, and has issues. We got a nice return for a timebomb, we should be happy.

Berglund will be fine as long as he plays in the right roles and the right amount of minutes.

Sobotka was a salary dump, which the Sabres have more than enough room to take on.
