I didn't want to move ROR. Unless we were getting Paparanko (Spelling?) I myself was very clear about that. I'm not comfortable trading a guy with tons of term left for a guy with one year left unless an extension can be talked about before the trade is completed. I only want a top 3 defensive defenceman or a top line goal scoring LW with term for ROR or I keep him.

I've also said this many times. A replacement center would have been needed. Hence why I would've tried to sign a guy like Ryan or Bozak during FA. Or why I'd ask for Beauvillier in the trade who put up decent points in his first two years
