I didn’t like the trade as I thought they gave up too much ...but Hamilton was an issue and fox wasn’t signing so given that I don’t mind it as much as long as the players they got back perform well

Neal looks good if cap space.
Trade Bennet in a package to NYI with Bellows in it.
They are hurting for a C now that JT left.

Him and gagner could switch as well. I just liked EP & JV on the third line with a lot offensive guy like gagner. EP and JV should be in the 3rd line imo... Sutter with a shooter like LE and skill player like Granite makes more sense to me

Our lineup is essentially the same with the 2nd and 3rd lines switched up. I prefer giving the rookie 3rd line duty. I think LE & granite have more to give and would work well with Sutter.

We complained about speed and youth last year . We addressed it at the draft. People complained when we took Hughes.

We complained that we were too soft last year . We addressed it at free agency. People complained.Bringing in one player will not take care of being soft to play against. We seen that when we brought in Gudbrandson by himself. Now we have piss and vinegar throughout the lineup. Players that will have each others back.

We still have youth and we will bring in EP . He is a gifted spot IMO. Hughes will be signed and we will find out if he is ready or not at camp. Gaudette is a wait and see. He can always be a first call up. OJ is almost ready too .

We are exactly where a rebuild team should be. Comets are going to be a monster team this year.

Hutton MDZ will be shipped out some time this year both LHD and Hughes OJ should be ready to step in some time this year both LHD. Funny how this works.

Granlund Gaunce on a one year contract . Dahlen Goldobin both ready to step in if needed.

I think Canucks are doing a good job and will still have about 20 mil on cap space next year with only Brock and Edler needing a raise.

After signing Neal they have 18 signed with 12 mil in space. They need to sign RFAs Hanifin Lindholm Jankowski and a goalie

Dylan Plouffe and Mitchell Prowse could be interesting. I doubt either are coming away with a contract and both can re-enter the draft.

Read some good things on Josh Teves, seems like another Hutton type. Maybe they could not screw that one up

Not really, I didn't "complain" about it. I had no problem with it. I would have preferred a few others or to trade down and get him. Didn't happen and they drafted him. Hopefully it works out.

I thought he was the 3rd best player available in the whole draft. He was probably my most favorite 1st round pick by the canucks

My focus was on the guys I had in that 7 range(Hobson/Wahlstrom). I've had Hughes 2nd best D man in the draft since Feb and ranked #4oa.

Back Feb/March I had Wahlstrom sliding out of the top 10 but fell in love with that Boeser shot and body size. He drops out of the top 10 in the end.

Didn't realize Roussel had a tryout with the Canucks in 2011.

I’ve seen Soy play several times in Victoria. Scored some big goals. One of those “not the fastest, or most skilled, but filled with drive and gets the job done” kinda guys. Hope he makes a good impression and gets a shot with the Comets this year.
