Roussel Beagle Schaller

Pouliot Tanev
MDZ Stecher

I would switch Schaller with Gagner and go with 3 3rd lines and our 1st line.
We are allowed 1 more skater, would you have Gaunce, Biega or use that spot for youth. |

If Schaller can play C i’m down for that.
Extra forward is Gaunce unless traded then i choose Leipsic for more speed |

Too bad Leipsic wasnt a centre, although I wouldn't mind seeng them try convert him, he reminds me a little of Doug Gilmour from his Flames days. |

Up until the last 5 years, i think the CHL was the main route to go to the NHL. Demko was still finishing his schooling after turning pro while playing in Utica. I think they must somewhat care about their education if they choose the college route. - Codes1087
it's the safe route. There is no guarantee for most players that they will have an NHL career worth anything. Tomorrow anyone can get a foot crushed by a bus etc. Best to have their post hockey career in the bag.
If you're already a star player in another league that's different....the money can buy an education later in life.
with todays world there is online study and there's also almost 2 semesters possible in off season |

Mildly surprised with his digger attitude & hustle.
I like him if he can a find a place on a line. |

If everyone is healthy, and they aren’t planning on trading anyone, Hughes should go back to school (sign the BB special), Pettersson should go back to Sweden and really dominate (hopefully playing C), AG, Dahlen, Lind, Gaj and the rest of the crew to Utica.
Next year, no Granlund, hopefully no Gagner, a miracle if no Eriksson, then you have all the new tough guys, and there will be space for your skilled youth to make a push. |

Just watched WC highlights & penalty kicks gotta be the alltime worst to decide a game. MLB should go to a homerun contest if its not. |

Nothing like the shootout in hockey though, that’s a perfect way to end a game. |

Chl players get schooling paid for (post secondary). Im not 100% sure what it is, maybe 2 years tuition for every 1 year played? NCAA players obviously have scholarships. Its the route i would take if i was a young prospect. Who wants to go to school after your hockey career is done. |

We should all come to an agreement that we are each only allowed to post one Roster line up from now until opening night with the exception of Nighthawk.
He will allowed to post only 25 of them . We don't want to kill the poor bastard. - VANTEL
I'll give my 1 time to Nighthawk. I can't even remember whos on the Canucks anymore.

I think D is our biggest issue and if there's no UFA's coming in it's hard to imagine a trade. That being said, I hope they deal Tanev or MDZ at the TDL - neem55
exactly.
Any trade involving tanev would have to have a key piece coming back for us to lose our most important D man otherwise it makes no sense.....unless it's a 2019 1st from a crappy team |

Here is a good read on this very subject. Great too see these kids taking advantage of this post-hockey opportunity.

In a perfect world both OJ and Hughes are good enough to play bottom pair and by midseason make one of the vets expendable. I fully expect both to need more development, but anything is possible with kids which is what makes Canucks finally an interesting team.
On another note, I think the odds are very good Kostin mass the blues lineup and makes some noise now that they traded so much for ROR. |

What? I cannot see that happening. A vet with them both if &/or both were on the team post TDL would help them integrate better. |

Well we got a new gritty 4th line today. It cost more than it should, but then were not much of a destination. JB went out and got what we needed, the kids will be stood up for and EP has a couple great mentors to learn the C position from now. I think we lose a lot of games but it's a season where we really start to see some progress |

agree it makes more sense for them to play out the year with a vet partner. I do think MDZ or Tanev possibly could get dealt if they have played well. I just think it could go either way, I totally agree stability for the year is probably good. |
