Yeah this is the season we need him to step up but as of right now I haven't seen any evidence that it's a lock to happen... especially if he isn't getting PP mins and is put on the third line again...

Reider could be getting 15+ he definitely has the ability but I mean hes coming off a 12 goal season so who knows

But I just think we need to separate hope from expectations

We shouldn’t expect anything. Cause it’s totally plausible he’s not there yet (or even ever maybe)

Some of the truly good teams seem to have the scoring they require already, but then if some quality prospect kid like brayden point shows up and pots 40+ it’s all just gravy and is one of the pieces that makes them “elite”

While we’re in the position where we kinda need those kids puju/yam to produce to even be a bubble team. It’s bad recipe for forcing sh1t

Gotta think they’re assuming rattie on connors wing. No other reason to sign him. Cheap, and if the line can still get positive metrics cause of Connor, it looks like a win and one spot they don’t have to worry about.
It’s a flawed way do to things, but this is the cap sitch pc has forced on himself

$7M for both Strome and Nurse. I hope Nurse gets signed long term but then I imagine he will want more than $4M.

Rattie ain't even almost good... slow foot speed and the majority of his goals at the end of the year were total garbage... this is not a player even close to being a top 6 NHL forward... barely even a top 6 AHL guy at this point

If he sustains a position on McD's wing (big if) then he could score 20 garbage goals. But I don't think you can saddle McD with a poor LW option and still expect the same. If Nuge and McD can control and let Rattie play a simple complementary game he could fit.

Connor could easily get 50 but he has to come out at the start of the season shooting and not trying to pass to these bums we have on the wings

It’s pisses me off cause we've dealt two of our big assets, and NOW have huge questions on the wing. But STILL having questions on the backend.

He gets 4 million per. Probably will only take a bridge at that point. He’s no Subban though, the most he should make with his skill set is $5.75-6m....assuming he continues his development.
