The last time we tried to rush up a rebuild it ended up in a disaster. Botts is building a strong young core. True, we might be a year or two away from the playoffs but as long as we are progressing and doing things the right way, I am fine. I have been following this team since 1970. I can wait another year or two before we are in the playoffs if it means we are good for the following 10-years.

Signing 28-30 year old players to 7 year deals is friggin stupid, I don't care how good they are right now, fact is in a couple years they will regret it. They are NOT one player away from winning it all...so paying out the ass for someone who will be declining when the team is ready to contend is not the way to go.

Next year is all about getting the cap straightened out and I producing new, young players into the lineup...while making some non-sexy moves. Next season is the year to bring in some guys
