He can go now, or next year.

I LOVE to watch JT, and really hoped he'd land in Tampa for their existing SC window open for the next 3-4 years ... perfect addition to their line-up to win now and shorter term.
So it has nothing to do with him...big fan.

It has to do with building the Sabres the proper way with this exciting new core coming up and growing together. They have so many holes to fill and can use that money in 3 years when Mitts, Dahlin, probably Reinhart come calling for their payday.
