Dummy, the GM is the one who makes the picks, so someone "vouched" for a guy, the GM is still the one that says "ok, let's draft that guy.".

Murray wasn't great, but the people who give him zero credit for the many, yes, many good things he did baffles me.

Pretty much agree on this... but if you think about it it’s really not crazy... close to his hometown without that pressure. Has family here.... lots of money, good owner that wants to win. And a team with some serious talent coming. Maybe he just dosent feel comfortable with the other situations..... still don’t think he comes here but it fun the think about JT,jack, Casey at center.

$16M is the max contract for an $80M cap. I know they were saying $79.somethingM, but it also wasn't official, so it's possible it goes to $80M. But any team would be idiotic to offer a max deal for 7 years.
