The fact that anyone thinks the blame should be equally shared between Eichel and O’Reilly is absolutely mind blowing.

The 21 year old PPG elite player entering his prime and his adult-life frankly, should be as much of a leader as the 27 year old, 8 year vet who is a self-proclaimed leader.

I want to be absolutely clear.

I know we finished dead last again. I also know ROR has to accept some blame for the result, and that there have to be changes.

I'm not saying the result is Jack's fault instead of ROR's. I'm saying they are both responsible. And I'm saying that focusing only on ROR is faulty logic.

Everybody wants to keep Jack because he is seen as a player than can contribute to the success of the team in the future. The stats, and the trade value throughout the league, indicate that ROR can also contribute to the success of the team in the future.

The torchbearers and pitchfork guys are deciding to trade ROR based on emotion, and groupthink, more than on logic.

I think they keep Varly for now, but if they move him there really isnt a good option for a back up if Bernier is signing a 3 year deal in Detroit.

If they trade Varly and re up Bernier I would be all over that
