@jprutherford you said not Thomas. What about Kyrou? lot of firsthand camp reports saying he's NHL ready and that it's glaringly obvious. Is Kyrou untouchable or is he the price #stlblues have to pay for ROR if it comes to that?

And it sounds like Parayko is most likely part of the package StL is offering us for O’Reilly

I couldn’t be happier
He’s gonna really solidify our defense,
and is a PERFECT partner for Dahlin imo

Now for the “+”
Fabbri has been rumored
And Sobatka for the Cap dump
Add in Kyrou and this becomes a pretty big win for the Sabres

Even if we have to add something back like McCabe (who i like),
it’ll be well worth it to add those other pieces

The New York Rangers are reportedly interested in signing pending free agent Ryan Reaves.

The New York Post suggested that Reaves will likely earn roughly $2.25 million per season on his next contract. The 31-year-old would be a protector for the younger skilled players on the Rangers roster. He had four goals, six assists and 94 penalty minutes in 79 games with the Penguins and Golden Knights last season.

I don't think so, he's taking the risk of having a bad season/big injury. It's kind of scummy, but I think ultimately since he has something to lose, unlike with the hugely frontloaded contracts with $1M seasons at the end they'd give it the grudging ok and maybe some sort of a clause in the CBA, but really I don't think they'd go that far.

Of course everything goes out the window if they're intending to circumvent by agreeing ahead of time to the massive extension, which would be hard to prove.

I heard it discussed in an interview a few days ago. Don't remember who, probably a TSN guy. Said the league would have a big issue with it and it would cause major problems for insurance. If it becomes a clear move to get around the 7 year limit, they'd act.

The insurance angle of it alone was enough to make me think it makes no sense for Tavares.

I wonder if JT walks will the Islanders become a player for ROR? I wouldn't mind Kieffer Bellows but not sure if he would be available or what else they would add if he was. I could see some sort of deal worked out between Buffalo and the Islanders.
