but I am actually listening to the NYR GM talk about the direction of this team and I am not hearing one smidge that would make me think that is the direction the Rangers are going.

If the Rangers somehow acquire Karlsson I will gladly eat crow, but the poop aint happenin, and in my opinion, is an absolute waste of time to discuss

Agreed. And I'm in the mindset it'll take more than scaps to acquire him.

In another time for this organization, I would not be happy about signing him, but right now he'll do fine. If some of the Hartford guys or youngsters show something more than expected, I'd expect Uncle Leo to see some time in the press box. Gorton did discuss that there was trade chatter before draft and things like Tavares situation holding stuff up. He does believe it will pick up again. Dominos effect. I’m happy with where we’re at now. Many different directions we can go now. If we do go for EK, I’ll be just as concerned as you as to what we give up. No need to eat crow either way.
