He just sounds like a waste of a contract, why bother?

physical, he was an A in Toronto, he's a leader, could help mentor these young Europeans

They want somebody to play that role.

but I am actually listening to the NYR GM talk about the direction of this team and I am not hearing one smidge that would make me think that is the direction the Rangers are going.

If the Rangers somehow acquire Karlsson I will gladly eat crow, but the poop aint happenin, and in my opinion, is an absolute waste of time to discuss

- jimbro83

I don't think Dundee thinks it's a waste.

Just bring back Nash.

Edit: Oh, the Euro connection thing. Alright, why not?

He's pretty much Ryan Callahan, except for the $9 million a year annual contract.

Agreed. And I'm in the mindset it'll take more than scaps to acquire him.

I know. He'll be the agitator. But he's 31 coming off a 7 goal season. I get why they are interested. I just don't expect him to do much.
- tomburton99

And you are right not to. In fact, your first comment of "meh" hit it right on the nose.
In another time for this organization, I would not be happy about signing him, but right now he'll do fine. If some of the Hartford guys or youngsters show something more than expected, I'd expect Uncle Leo to see some time in the press box. Hopefully, he can have flashes of our Lord and Savior, Ranger Jesus!!

I flagged this by mistake. The best part is you might actually get in trouble.

I am actually being serious. They should just bring back Nash and Grabner and be done with it. Maybe they can trade them at some future deadline again.

Honestly, those guys are way better than some of the other crap that has been mentioned as potentially Ranger bound.

If they pry Wilson away the offseason will be a success.

Gorton did discuss that there was trade chatter before draft and things like Tavares situation holding stuff up. He does believe it will pick up again. Dominos effect. I’m happy with where we’re at now. Many different directions we can go now. If we do go for EK, I’ll be just as concerned as you as to what we give up. No need to eat crow either way. We all want what’s best

I'm saying it won't happen. I want him because so many hate him. He can protect 47 goal scorer Nash.

I used Cpt EO's avatar as my own. It got overturned with the help of RD. I was technically right though. My defense was, it is not in the COC. I needed lawyer Pete, but he wanted to much an hour.
