I think some trades are still coming

but, I don't think they are going to be looking to make spectacular additions that suddenly make them a contender this coming season

they'll do a few things that'll get the blog going though, they always do

Either he gets extended in Ottowa or they trade him to a team that will. He won’t be available next July.

And no.... I’m not talking about trading those guys. Back to my original post. We have an excess of left d prospects... goalie prospects... Zuc? Spooner? Namestikov? Smith? Ottowa would need to take back a roster player or 2 ... having a deep prospect pool is great, but chances of then all spending their careers here are slim and none. Left handed D men: Staal 3 years left. Skjei. Smith...,Lindgren,Hajek,Day,K’Andre,Gilmour,Crowley,Rykov... am I missing anyone????

I hadn't even put it together that Ottawa took Shane Bowers in the first round last year and then Brady Tkachuk this year

they should both do full 4 years at BU, not sign, and then re-join their beloved coach in NY

I don't think 5 million a year for a forward that consistently produces is bad in this league anymore, especially with cap keeping going up
