In 3 years? So then we’ll draft high in year 4 and 5? What is this a 7 year rebuild?

I do that when I drive. I loathe driving. The amount of people that did stupid poop in vehicles is amazing.

... to get you to leave your realm of thinking.kingpin that your plan of tanking for the next 100 years will not even work. It will not even guarantee landing the #1 overall pick.
How many years are you really thinking they will have to tank in order to win it all???
Ten years, and then while those in their prime start getting old, then have to tank for another 10, etc.?
RINSE & REPEAT your tanking crap elsewhere!

This is the tanker's only & last sensible post ever made, though needing a link to copy it being made by someone else.

For all the talk on trading for Karlsson, the Rangers are not seeking to acquire him for the price Ottawa wants in return. They had expressed mild interest, but that was it for now. The fact remains that Karlsson does not have to be sold cheaper by the Sens right at this time. After the season begins, the price will drop, with him approaching free agency next summer.
Even contenders like Vegas ended their effort for now to acquire him, due to Ottawa's high demands. The other reason why any NHL team has not made Ottawa an acceptable enough offer yet, is that they all know that if their ownership does not change hands, Karlsson will not re-sign a new contract with them at any point prior to the start of free agency opening next summer.

Well, I don't know likewise when I clearly mention the source of some post's latest news I make, why you reply to it, "rewritten and copied from elsewhere".
That's o.k., I guess due to you being the King Tankrik, but also the "King know it all" on Hockey Buzz.

One factor that is being overlooked as to why if Tavares signs with Toronto is still a financial benefit to return closest to his original home in Mississauga, Ontario, despite him having to incur the highest of taxes in Canada, is that he would more than likely make up for all that lost net earnings in endorsements there.
The $44M earnings he would net with the Isles if signing for the longest in an 8 year deal at $11M annually, would be in comparison only $36M if at $11M with Toronto, but for only 7 years term allowed, as with the term years allowed for other interested teams. Endorsements in Toronto would certainly make up for a good chunk of that $8M shortage in net earnings.
The net earnings for him if signing with others at 7 years vary from a low of $38M with San Jose, up to $49M if signing with Tampa or Dallas, with Boston in the middle at $45M, with those latter three being his least likely perceived destination.
