I'm all in this tank rebuild. I don't care how long I have to wait. Just get me one or two elite talents. Take as long as you need.

Never going to get elite talent, Hank will always keep us above the bottom teams.

Yes, but they didn't draft in the first round for four straight years. Before last year, 2012 was their last first round pick. A couple of years, they haven't even had a pick until the third round (one year they drafted Duclair, Buch and Tambellini). And the more recent years, you can't expect 4th rounders to be in the NHL yet.

I am not saying you are wrong TJ. I am just saying there are some pretty significant mitigating factors that make it hard to judge their performance.

My only point was its hard to have confidence in picks like Lindbom when I haven’t seen anything to suggest otherwise. I’d be curious to see other teams success rate in comparison, but I’d imagine the Rangers are pretty low in that regard.

Boo, Gettinger, Ronning, Fontaine, Wall, Day, Gropp and Shestorkin all have a chance to be solid contributors. Time will tell
- tbreinold

Ronning could be good, top 9 player

To be fair, they do deserve mucho credit for Zucc, G, Hayes, etc. Not sure who found the former two, but those were top notch additions. Maybe Clark?

With that said, who’s the next unsigned guy(s) to go after?

There was so much hype for Hayes, i don't really credit the scouts for that one since im pretty sure all 29 teams were in on him. Zucc and G though (and maybe meskanen and lindqvist if we are lucky)

Just like they knew about Mcilrath, Montoya, Lundmark, Sanguinetti, Jessiman etc. They've made that type of pick more than once and it has yet work.

Ehh. Wtf do we know. Geez.. NYR felt really high on him and took him at #39. Again, gotta wait and see. If he becomes starting goalie in 3 years, what will you feel about the pick?
