Lets be honest Tom. Minus McDavid, you pretty much hate every player.

I agree with that lol

I’ll say this tho, right now I just don’t see it being absolutely necessary, other then to get some sorta excitement this summer, to throw money at big time UFAs. Next year has much better options and the upcoming season is gonna bad regardless. Play kids, see what you need or don’t need, evaluate from there and go for the gusto when the time is right. It’s not the right time this summer/next season. Last thing you want to do is have guys taking up money and cap when your not even contending for awhile, I honestly could careless if they had 30 mill in cap space this year...I want more and more the next few years. And when I say evaluating what they have, that includes the Spooners, Nams, Smiths etc of the team

I’m not saying tank btw just stay in an evaluation process. I still wanna win and make the playoffs, but I’m also realistic and don’t expect it

Absolutely!! Best thing about upcoming season is that kids will get a REAL chance to play, and actually have practices that teaches, and not just an hour of shinny

Get a few FAs that can lead by example and embrace it

An abundance of LH Dmen can be used for later moves as well if too many of them become NHLers, and no spots available on NYR

You still have see if they trade any more guys too. Although, it seems less likely then I thought since the TDL. But bringing in prove it kind of players is another way to go also, Duke-Yak for example. Grabner type additions. Then flip a mofo for another prospect. The org is handling it right, I just hope they’re getting the right talent in here. That’s where I’m worried

I don't see any high end FAs coming this year. I think next year will be a whirlwind, FA wise

Seguin¡!!!!!!!!!!!!

All of our worries are the same. Did NYR choose right picks/prospects? Pointless to harp onit for months/years though which is where we find our frustration as fans. I'm optimistic though. I like to look at Nashville/ Anaheim . Both took alot of dmen and that worked out for them

I’m not a draft guy and never claimed to be one whatsoever, but if they woulda just picked a forward in rd 2 I’d be so much more ok with it lol. Not because you don’t need goalies, but because they seem more desperate for that position then do at goalie. I don’t think they used their heads with that pick. All the D is fine and dandy, but you need forwards with promise...and not just centers

it's fantastic movie

but when Kimble escapes, Dr. Nichols gives him money when he approaches his car. I dont get why he didn't turn him in, it bugs me.

Well, if he did, the movie would've been awfully short

I actually have no problem with all the D. I think in the later rounds you take the kids that you think will turn into the best players, and if you are right, they turn into good assets that you can use to strengthen other areas. We sure as hell know that not all of these guys are going to suit up for the Rangers. What you want is to have a good hit rate on your draft picks, build of a bunch of good prospects, and then make whatever transactions you need to make to strengthen yourself in areas of need.

In short, if you are in the third or fourth round, don't just take a winger because you don't have one. Take the player that you think has the best chance of turning into an NHLer.

if next years draft they load on forwards it’ll be like an aha moment for me, I’ll understand it more. But in fairness, the previous 3 first rders (Lias, Chytil and Kravtsov), do take some of that away. It’s the lefty thing that is odd to me. It’s like a fetish they have or something

Do you think if we still had the 48 pick we would’ve pick Olof at 39?
