Sobotka is just a defensive forward all the stuff O'Reilly's good at just no offense
- gerbe75pts

But Parayko is better than McCabe, plus the first rounder. It's a wash

If you could trade Nylander for Thomas, wouldn't you?
- jcragcrumple

I would because he's basically a Ryan O'Reilly clone

But leave my nylander alone he needs to rest so he's good for the season

ROR and Beaulieu to the Blues for Berglund, Schmaltz and Sundqvist would be hilarious.

I was there today, 3 things really stood out:
1. Mittelstadt looks like a different person. He put on some much needed muscle and he looked like he didn't have even belong there; as in it just looked too easy.

2. Pilut. First time I've seen him, and I'll say it - he's probably a better skater than Dahlin. Silky smooth hands and you could just see the skill. I'm very excited about him, and he's going to force his way into the NHL sooner than later.

3. Dahlin. I wanted to see him make mistakes and I was almost looking for him to kinda bring us all back down to earth. Well, the kid looked like he was made in an NHL lab. Obviously, there isn't much we can learn from day 1 of a development camp; that is unless a player is just so much better than everyone else. The way he moves, handles the puck and his awareness on the ice is incredible.

A side note, Olofsson's shot is probably the best I've ever seen. He gets it off so fast, and boy does it have zip on it. I actually felt bad for the goalies today.

And your nylander is staying

Mike Harrington

@ByMHarrington
Now, #Sabres AGM Steve Greeley said Nylander was close to 100 percent. Not there. I get it. I'm trying not to over react. He better be ready to go full tilt in the Prospects Tourney in September though.

John Vogl wrote about how the Sabres could move Sam back to center if they trade ROR. That wasn't based on any inside information, though. He just noted that GMJB answered a question today by noting that Sam can play wing and in the middle when talking about the Sabres having talented Centers throughout the lineup. Vogl then talked about some of Sam's fancy stats that might support another experiment at center.

He also had this to say about the ROR trade rumors:
*Botterill has been asked about O’Reilly often since trade talk heated up at the draft Friday.

“It’s very difficult to predict if something is going to happen or materialize,” Botterill said. “Look, you have a ton of rumors out there right now on Ryan. I think a lot of them are very creative. I would just say from Day One we’ve been very happy with Ryan being a part of our group. We’ve said before that it’s no surprise that teams are calling on him. He has a great reputation throughout the National Hockey League, especially with what he’s accomplished in international hockey.

“So I understand why people call on him, but the validity of a lot of the rumors are simply not true.”

He didn't even hit the net with his shot at the end of that drill. Can you say Rasbust Dahlin?

Really awesome to hear and in line with what Hamster reported. I especially like hearing what you said about Olofsson. I broke the story about how good his shot was to this board like 2 months ago and Lunaion or whatever her name is was defiantly debating me about it.

Of course. Hitting on one is huge, too, especially if he can actually be a top-6 player. I just don't think there's any difference between an early and mid 6th, that's all

Ask your dad for $40 and you can read the whole thing? Or you can try to save up your allowance until you have enough to subscribe.
