I actually think Nash and Crosby could be very, very good. Nash is LW/RW and he plays with a tough forecheck... - MattStrat
I’m not interested in Nash at all, living in north NJ I catch a lot of Rangers games, he was not impressive this season and has been trending down for a couple years. Personally I think he’s been overrated for a while |

If we’re talking about dmen, why not bring cole back? I’d rather have cole at 3.5 mil than De Haan or JJ at the same price - drummer829
I don't think Cole wants to sign somewhere to be a healthy scratch all year long. |

Someone give JR his meds. The only way I take him for 5 years is if its a 1.5 cap hit you know something tradeable. |

Yikes! I believe it when I see it.
The F group still needs some upgrade, pretty vanilla. |

DeHaan may be the best name in the fa market for D... 5 mil or more from someone. JJ at a 1 year show me for 2-3 would be preferable. |

Honestly would rather just have been saddled with Hunwick. JJ for five years until he's 36 is a Judas bullet of a contract. How could JR (frank) things up this bad? |

What did you all think of Sheary? Sad to see him go, or just a Crosby/Malkin tag along? - RhinoFan

Seriously. Do I want JJ at all? Obviously no. But if they were intent on signing him, a 2 year deal with higher cap hit is at least better than any cap hit for 5 years. That term is completely absurd.

Johnson at age 26 wouldnt be too bad...not so much at 36 however haha.
Seriously I can't believe GMJR would double down on the Hunwick mistake. Even at $2M....Johnson for 5 years is a terrible idea. And if it's a 5 year deal, that signals to me that they see him as a top 4 |

It can't be that term. That's (frank)ing ridiculous. |

I always thought teams and players couldn't talk about specific contract details? Not that I think no one does, but weird Madden would have a specific length.
This is bad, no matter how it shapes up in terms of dollars. A bad dollar amount would just be icing on the cake.
GMJR has made some questionable moves in the last 18 months. I think he is starting to overstay his welcome.

Unless it's one of those deals you sign for 2 years and then when the next lockout happens, you use a compliance buyout on him and clear him. |

Nail Yakupov? Cheap. Stick him with Geno. I think Geno would welcome the mentor role at this point in his career |

I heard about the trade of Sheary and Hunwick and it was 5 minutes of pure happiness. Then, I hear about Jack Johnson getting 5 F'n years and I want to cry like a baby. FVCK!!!!!!
I'm just praying it's 5 years because we're only paying him 2 mil. |
