I don't mind getting JVR here one single bit.... I'd love that signing actually. Stastny.... ehhhhh.... I've never really been wow'd by him. Very average.. very just blah at a lot of things but not bad at any of them.

I said if we do it to other teams, it makes it more acceptable for other teams to do it to us. Maybe it happens anyway, if Dahlin makes it to RFA many teams will consider it, but let's not give any team an excuse to say, "Well, Buffalo offer sheeted this player and that player, so we're justified in offer sheeting Dahlin away from them, or just (frank)ing up their cap." It's a bad idea.

I like JVR and he would help this team substantially.

And I'm saying for the right player it's not a bad idea. Making your team better should always be the GM's motive (Unless your Murray, shots fired) Offer sheets don't happen not because GM's are scared of a counter OS.

ROR is the best faceoff guy in the entire NHL so I wouldn't say he is not great at anything.

I'd be MUCH more inclined to give him a 5-7 year deal in the 7-8M AAV than anyone else we have discussed.

Besides Stone.. I'd offer sheet the f*ck out of him so hard his unborn grandkids would feel that sh1t.
