Maybe buffalo only does it because Wahlstrom was there - Fattony1187
That could be true too
Lots of assumptions going on here
I’d have been p!ssed if we got pick11 & two 2nds
But Wahlstrom & two 2nds is MUCH more appealing
Doubt we will ever know the exact circumstances |

Wow , thank you.
So we would be on the hook for 6.5.
Maybe he trades ror for a couple young guys or draft picks.
I'd keep him, if he is the problem, then move him - Boss34
ROR gets paid 8.5 million this year. 7.5 of it is a signing bones that he gets paid on july 1st. He will then earn 1 million during the season.
His cap hit is the average of the length of the contract 7.5. |

What is zadarov, girgo, compher and a 2nd worth?
Is it worth less then mcgin, (2) 2nds and 10th overall
Seams pretty even.
Hope they move ror for a player this year if at all - Boss34
Tough to compare this way though
So much goes into determining “value” of a player(s)
So many circumstances factor in
Even now with O’Reilly
His trade value goes up after we pay the Bonus
His value also should go up when Tavares signs
However,
a team like Pitt that’s set at Center would never give us as much as StL would
Heck,
You even gotta figure that his value is greater due to a team like MTL bc their GM has to win NOW to save his job
If he wasn’t on the hot seat though,
O’Reilly would likely have less value to him
So many nuances
And some ppl act like making a trade should just be simple & happen overnight
Even GMTM said he was after Kane for years before he could finally get them to trade him
And that was probably only bc of the locker room stuff
I don’t fans appreciate just how complicated making a major trade can be |

What is the Sabres cap hit of they pay ror's bonus?
7.5? - Boss34
Whatever bonus we pay goes towards our Cap |

In 2018-19, O'Reilly will earn a base salary of $1,000,000 and a signing bonus of $7,500,000, while carrying a cap hit of $7,500,000. - homiedclown
It’s more complicated than that |

Of that group, i pretty much agree
Although i liked Wahlstrom & Dobson A LOT
They’re both Top5 guys imo
Still surprised they fell
Stupid Islanders
Dream trade at this point...
JT leaves
They give us Wahlstrom & Dobson for O’Reilly
Yeah, yeah... i know
That’s why i said “dream” trade |

I would rather get some young nhl ready players if we move ror.
Winning this year is important for this fan base.
I'm liking our chances of 85-95 points this year.
And yeah I'm a fan , maybe that says my opinion |

StL might be our best trade partner to get NHL ready (or at least close to ready) players back |

I still feel like Vancouver is a fit for ror.
Cap space with the sundins retiring.
Canadian market.
Young center on his way in/ could use a few years protection |

We’ll just have to see now
I’m thinking once we pay the bonus,
and JT chooses...
we should be able to get a really great return
But i was way off on what i thought we’d get for Kane...
so I’m just kind of in wait & see mode
Just hope I’m not disappointed again |

I’d be a fan of Zucker +
and even take back Ennis, if it makes the “+” we get better |

Not the easiest thing to dig up, but I don't think this is accurate.

Makes sense
But idk what they’d give?
Can’t see them give up Hughes (Not a big fan anyways)
Juolevi is supposedly off limits, but he’s another LH guy anyways- so no thanks
There’s no way Boeser or Horvat is on the table
I like Gaudette, but he tops out as a 3C
Goldobin is ok, but he’s probably an average LW2 at best
Even if they give us both those guys & a 1st next year (I’m sure it would be lotto protected),
I don’t think that’s enough |

Maybe, but the draft is over, so things change. I just put his value around a #10 pick, and I didn't think anyone would pay it. Now, it's real players and cap implications.

The City of Buffalo was gonna paint Delaware Ave “blue & gold” in ‘06 or 07 if we made the Cup
Watch some of the highlotes from those 2 years
Then watch some highlights of Jack & Dahlin
Then get laid or drunk or both
This team will still have its holes...
but it’ll put a damn smile on your face at least |
