I need to lose 10 pounds. Let’s make this easy. Lipo my 10, plant into Frost; Profit.

Bill has said many times that his ppg actually went up during the time those players were in the WJC and Frost was on his own

Sharks decline qualifying offer to DeMelo. Any interest? Even as a depth guy? RHD.

and there is your go to move, end of story, move on, blah blah blah.

Everything we write is our guess or our opinion so my guess at most, if not all, think Frost should gain weight is valid. In fact numerous posts from other posters have stated he should, that supports my position. In fact Bill who talks with the Flyers said Frost should try to put on weight. I have not seen a single post that said he should not try to gain weight or go on a diet. Want to bet there are articles quoting Flyers management that Frost should put on weight? Am I going to fast, want me to slow down?

Again when I wrote "Frost needs to put on 8-10 pounds" it wasn't to say Frost wasn't good as is, you made into that ...

i know it is the slow time of the year but pick a fight you can win.

- wcorvette

Here's one thing that you haven't read from me. That Frost shouldn't try and add weight. You're ridiculously off base.

It's pretty clear from the language that you're using that not only can I win it, but that I already have. Well before this page of the thread!

You can't put too much into Hextall's track record... The first two years, he was still dealing with Holmgrens contacts and wrestling with the cap. Only now is the cap starting to free up - but, he can't play with it too much because of the up and coming contracts from the stars he drafted.
- leon neon

Yes I can. Dale Weise was a bad signing. Staying loyal to Filppula and Neuvirth would be Hextall's fault alone.

I see Vancouver did not extend an offer to Poulliot, but may bring him back on a one year deal as a UFA. Would he be of interest at all. Not sure why he has not panned out, watched him at the WJC and he was very good there.

1. Can Provy convince fellow countryman Panarin to add the Flyers to his preferred destinations?

2. Is ROR a real fit or not

3. Who is our future 1C; Couts or Patrick

4. Thick players vs small players

5. Morin is a bust

6. We should trade to get Schenn back

This should get us all through the day

I would like to know what most of you grade Hextall as GM to date. He's drafted well. He's cleared cap space that many of us thought might be impossible. Absolute pluses.

Again, UFA in my mind hasn't been impressive when it comes to Hextall. This is his player evaluation alone and these players he chose to go after. His trades have been uneven. Coburn trade, great deal! Hartnell trade, I'm sorry but I think he could have got a better return at the time outside of looking for a salary dump. Hartnell at that time might have snagged a high draft pick and/or decent prospect.

He is one of the better ones in the league.

I think Hextall would've traded him for a high draft pick and/or decent prospect if he was able to. Umberger was an accident waiting to happen, but I doubt he took a lesser deal to trade within the division

I think for sure Hextall thought Umberger would be better than he was. I have no doubt about that. That obviously was incorrect. However I don't think a deal was available for Hartnell for the return of a high pick or a decent prospect. If it was, he would've done that. I think he made what he thought was the best available deal.

I think he's a good GM, who seems to do things that modern NHL GMs need to do.

I get hating the Hartnell deal (my guess is they thought RJ had more in the tank than he really did).

It was. I misread the posters sentence when he mentioned the Coburn deal at first. My original response had a "why would you hate the Coburn deal?" sentence in there.

Then I re-read his response and realized I need more coffee.

Let's not forget there was a 4th round pick in the deal which eventually became a player they didn't give an ELC to. Eggs over easy on his face.
