If you believe Brooks, trading one of Zibby or Hayes is something they are looking at. If they were to make such a trade, what would that deal look like? Is that where they get a winger?
- Pete V

I would definitely look for a shoot 1st winger. And it better be Zib.

Just look at this last draft period. Not a ton of Canadians got drafted.
- Feds91Stammer

I’m going back like 10-15 yrs tho, not just this year. I have to wonder do they even scout in Canada? It’s a crazy thought but I’m actually seriously wondering that they can’t possibly give Canada as much attention as they do in Europe.

Despite rumors of him this past weekend possibly considering to retire due to wear and tear, as well as past concussions, Aaron Portzline reports that Rick Nash's first choice for destination is back with Columbus, and that he is seeking a multi year deal, possibly between $4M to $5M annually.
- RangerSaver

Good, go let him be irrelevant in a fly city.

Tj the 4 years they didn't have a 1st rounder they picked 15 NA's and 9 from the rest of the world. The best player from that group is Buch, a Russian
- mdw7413

IF yall dont want the Russians I will gladly take them.

I'm probably biased due to Fedorov, Lidstrom, Datsyuk, Zetterberg, etc. but if it was up to me I wouldn't scout Canada at all

David Schoen of the "Las Vegas Review-Journal" reports that both Perron and Neal are unlikely to re-sign with Vegas, after having turned down their latest offers. Schoen added that Neal had earlier refused a 5 year/$25M offer prior to the February trade deadline, with his 6 year/$30M contract expiring June 30th. He believes Neal is seeking $6.5M to $7M annually long term. Both players had fielded offers from elsewhere on Sunday.
In addition, Schoen stated that both d'man, Luca Sbisa and forward, Ryan Reaves as UFA's are also unlikely to re-sign with Vegas.

That $4M to $5M annual amount rumored in a multi year deal that Nash is seeking certainly removes the Rangers from wanting to re-sign him, and now possibly leads them to make an offer to bring back Grabner for less, in a similar defensive/PK role, with some offense contributed due to his great speed.
