Nam, next year's two lower first round picks. Picks acquired from when they trade Zucc and Hayes.

I like using the 2nd after everyone lost their collective poop when used to get Miller

Hayes will make the Rangers great again when they take him off the 3rd line.

Yeah and where did I say he was from Russia?
- Feds91Stammer

I'm probably biased due to Fedorov, Lidstrom, Datsyuk, Zetterberg, etc. but if it was up to me I wouldn't scout Canada at all

That was in response to someone's post after you had said something about taking any unwanted Russians off our hands.
I had thought the same thing at the time, that you accidentally included Zetterberg with a group of Russians, but I can see that your meaning may have been slightly different with this comment.

Yeah clearly Lidstrom is not Russian either. I was referring to not scouting CANADA.

Last I checked neither Sweden or Russia were in CANADA.

News: Capitals aren't expected to qualify right wing Devante Smith-Pelly by the 5 p.m. deadline, meaning he'll be a UFA on July 1.

The Rangers appear to be pursuing a backup goalie to Hank. This is not due to them not trusting that Georgiev can't repeat the great job he did last season, especially when Hank was out injured, and he made every start for about a two weeks or so period. They simply want him to play full time as a #1 in Hartford, to not hold up his progress, but rather have him develop even further. Maybe Georgiev is considered by them to be the favorite to be Hank's successor for now.
Now lies the problem in that maybe they have their doubts that Shestyorkin will either never want to leave Russia, or that his style of play may not suit best in the NHL. Last season, despite his great KHL numbers, Steve Valliquette on MSG had stated that he relies in key on his size and positioning for many pucks "to just hit him", as opposed to him being very mobile and agile in his crease movement to make the tougher saves.
With the restrictions likely being modified this season on the goalie's chest/arm protectors, to become more "anatomically proportionate to the goalie's body", that will hurt those types of goalies, who use these over sized & straight wall like shape units. (See Matt Murray and Anders Nilsson for two in upper body size looks difference with just a shirt on, and then when wearing them with their jersey.)

I think offering to take Steve Mason off Winnipeg's hands for an asset is a great idea
