I like them both and hope to keep both.
But id keep marner over nylander imo.
Id be open to moving gardiner for a top 4 d who knows how to play defense and then simply improve our 5-6 spots. Filling the 5th spot with someone who can play 4 when needed.

I can go along with this...they can stiffen the D and make it harder to play against without necessarily getting one big D that makes a huge splash.

I dunno, i could see Tampa TBH. He is good friends with Stamkos. I really dont get him interviewing with Dallas. That was the only team I question why they are on the list.

While I agree, I have no idea why any sane person would stay with that team right now. They arent going to be in contention even with him for a while. They are going to switch between two arenas as well.

I get he is loyal, but I think he's crazy to stay.

You definitely want a strong D who knows how to work in tight spaces and isn't afraid to get dirty. Also you want someone who can make smooth zone exits, play with some patience in order to make the right moves and doesn't shoot prematurely.

I already ordered my Tavares jersey. But I know a bunch of people named Tavares so I'll just give it as a present if he shows he has no heart by not signing here. They're not hockey fans and we don't exchange gifts so it'll seem weird, but very generous.
