All things being equal I think we have a better chance to sign JT then we did Stamkos and people that bring up the tax thing do not realize the endorsement opportunities in Toronto for a guy who is from there and top 10 in the league. This guy is a perfect leader, he leads by example and lets his work do the talking any team will be lucky to have this guy if I would guess where he is leaning I would say 50/50 Islanders and Leafs

Not necessarily. There is no law or rule that Leafs are obligated to lock up Nylander this year, or for that matter, Marner next year. Bridge deal is always available to defer cap. Sign JT whose fiancee is from TO and has a big family here and give Chiapet a call on Klefbom. He's just itching to get fished in on a trade.

Sure I agree. In addition to this, it's not like Dubas only has one conversation going at a time. Sure he's focused on JT but it's not like they aren't or can't talk to other teams about a d-man in trade or UFA for a stop gap.
