What will you be doing with Nelson?
- TheSabresTaco

- Change KBC to the Nelson Center
- I’d give him free living in the penthouse above harbor center
- Let him run the first 20 minutes of morning practice
- Make him full time locker room DJ
- Pay him extra to let Nylander and Dahlin live with him.

Just to start.

People don't want Pacioretty or to pay him but will take Weber and his 8 more years at 7.8 mill. Are you people kidding me, Weber is done.

Seriously, does E-Rod slide to 1LW if RoR isn't traded and kept at center?

I'm still hopeful that RoR will bring a decent return, but that we're waiting until after July 1st to sweeten the deal. If he isn't, or if a winger isn't picked up, you're right, it's either Nylander, I guess E-Rod, or someone who has no business playing there.

- RhinoFan

Gonna bring this one up again. Sticking Erod on the wing is equivalent to sticking Reinhart on the C

I feel like people don't remember how terrible of a team we were in 13-14..

Hodgson was our leading scorer with 44 pts. Ennis, Staff, Ehrhoff, and Moulson rounded out the top 5 after.

We had guys like McBain, Leino, Flynn, D'Agostini, Ellis, Conacher, Varone, Omark, Sulzer, Adam, Porter, and Konopka. We had goalies of Enroth, Lieuwen, Hackett, and Knapp after Miller was traded.

We were an absolute joke. From 2014 to 2015 we went from 54 team points to 81 then to 78 the following year. Still absolute last or close to it but there certainly was a point difference. We did not get worse though.

- JVince11

How horrible we were is not the point of the argument.

We were packed to the gills with picks and prospects. We were constantly being talked about as having one of the brightest futures in the league with the amount of assets we had.

He decimated that in 3 years.

How people can back this guy is beyond me.

If you were running a team, god forbid, how willing would you be to give up NHL ready prospects?
- TheSabresTaco

It depends if my team needs a center and I know I’m getting a player that automatically gets you 50 to 60 points a year and my fanbase needs a change or if I’m one player from contending

Me, I read his initial salary wrong.

but hey, whats worse. The guy that made mistake on salary or the guy that still thinks Tim Murray got a raw deal and didn't ruin this organization.....

- ImThatGuy

Are you referring to me? Dude... reading comprehension failed you. That's not what I said at all.

If Weber retires we’re not responsible and he’s still very good he’s still a top 10 D and he would be on the first pairing

I really don’t think that’s bad

Botts didn't even bother addressing the question directly, because Harrington is a (frank)ing tool and even his peers think so.
- TheSabresTaco

Sounds like a clown question bro, but Harrington can smell blood in the water. Botts starting to get rattled. Hopefully he has an unlimited supply of brown paper bags in his office.

GMTM and Beane would've been the best GM tandem in Buffalo sports history. Now we got Beane and a doofus. You know what they say about the 3ER. He's not always right, but aint ever been wrong.

Now I don't believe Weber is "done"

However, I would never take that contract in it's entirety. Ever. He's clearly declining and slowing down.

Question: Was it ever tried with Jack?

I don't believe they've gotten a chance together, had chem in college...

If I'm wrong about that correct me. Samson is a winger. This we know to be truth. He'll be a 30g winger next season, but we won't talk about that until after it is official.

I said Weber for Bogosian.

And then we can dump Weber for a 6th/7th back to Nashville when he is about done so Nashville can stash him on IR so he doesn't retire early and cost Nashville a 24 MM cap penalty.

It was but you and others said it, didn't know it was a joke on your end, sorry.
We have to spend for a winger for Eichel enough of trying for all these 3rd line players. The people that mentioned Grabner are lost, he stinks.

Of course he declines the money, it’s our way of showing how valuable he is to this franchise.

I’d give him a lifetime suit at New era field.

And buy him one of those sick hover crafts:

I don’t understand what’s wrong with Weber he gets 15g and with Dahlin we could have a combination like his Nashville days

He’s still very good just the injury killed him and look what team he played on

No I meant it as a joke. I don't want to touch either of them. I didn't get to watch Patches a lot this past year but something HEAVILY changed in his game from the previous 5 years of 30+ goals. I don't know if it was not having a good center or them having a down year all together.

I just don't want to pay another 30 year old winger a long term deal. We already have KO to worry about. I don't want an even bigger and longer deal with the kids new deals needed in the coming years.
