I honestly think Skinner turned down BUF too... I really do. Full NMC for Skinner... what in tarnation.

Didn't ERod play a lot as our 3C/4C last year? I didn't think he was doing a lot on the wing any more?

I, personally, am over Bailey/Baptiste... I think they are 3RWers or change of pace guys at best. Not top 6 talent. I know Bailey got a ton of time in the top 6 with injuries the last 2 years. Bailey's speed is nice.

E Rod has been playing Center, correct
But if we keep O’Reilly,
makes more sense to move him back to the wing than it does to keep him as 4C

Bailey did get time with ROR last year
2 goals & an assist in 4 games
Then got knocked down to the 4th line
Then back to AHL

Imo,
these kids need to be goven more of a chance than that instead of demoting them as soon as they have 1 bad game

This is true, but a late 1st. Not many outside the top5 usually make year 1 debuts, or at least that's what my feeble brain has been lead to believe.

I'm with you but its the same thing that happened to MAF.

Jarry is a RFA and probably the most "rookie" NHL stud goalie there is out there right now with Helly close on his tails but he's been a starter.

They don't want to pay 8+M for 2 goalies I'd bet... IDK. Just a line of possibilities.

Then they gave Murray a shot & he won the Cup
Then they moved on from MAF after Murray did it again
Jarry hasn’t done squat yet

17. There looks to be a pre-July 1 price and post-July 1 price on Ryan O’Reilly. He is due a $7.5 million bonus, and that’s affecting what the Sabres can get. If Buffalo pays, it probably makes sense to keep him, except that the offers may improve. St. Louis was circling, and it’s possible that morphs into something bigger. The Blues might want Vladimir Sobotka to be part of the package, too. I could see the Sharks being a possibility if they don’t get Tavares.

To me there is no way there is truth to moving Murray unless they have their eye on another top end goalie. Their window is closing and they need a top end (in the playoffs) goalie.

I don’t mind the idea of taking Sobatka back from StL
He’d be a decent 3C and can take on defensive responsibilities
Plus he’d be a Cap dump for StL,
so they’d have to up their offer
