Should we be reading into the fact gmjb didn’t mention RoR when listing the core he’s excited about moving forward?
- Shadman306

I don't think so.... I think when you talk about your core... you talk about players in the same age group and ROR is not in the same grouping.

Jack, Sam, Rasmus, and Rasmus are the core nucleus of this team. And of course Zemgus.

Max Pacioretty on sabres radar?

cause if you eat 3 million of ROR's contract, you could do it straight up.

- Acup2buff

Nope
Reported earlier that he wants a long term deal
He’ll be 30 when that new deal starts,
so no thanks

Antipin will not be tendered.

Do we know of the other RFA's yet?

Not crazy about this idea.... max wants a long term deal next year... so your trading ROR for one year of max... blah

Paul Hamilton said that the Sabres are in on Carter Hutton with a bunch of other teams.

A 32 year old career back up on elite defense teams.... I'm cautious about him.

You need to take off your shoes to count the number of backups to come from Nashville, Anaheim, or LAK that didn't pan out.

IF we traded ROR for Patches straight up.... we should be demoted to the ECHL.

Projectile vomitting in every direction.

MAYBE I could handle that on a 2-3 year deal but I doubt he'd want that.

Just a lot of money soaked up in him with other guys needing contracts here shortly.

No I mean Dominik Bokk +

Unless they wanna offer the 2019 first but that would be pretty irresponsible when they could be drafting in the 15’s

- gerbe75pts

I’m cool with that
Was surprised Bokk dropped that far

Since Ek updated the rumor chart and has a whopping 40% for Risto to the Oilers.

Not saying it will or should happen but for the sake of discussion:

What would a return from the Oilers be for Risto that would make people not so angry about the move

The sabres can't eat more than 500k on ROR. 6.5 is bonus

I like Bernier or Khudobin more than him actually.

I don't even hate the idea of Halak.

I wouldn't mind seeing if COL would deal Varly now either. 5.9M for 1 year? Sure!

He needs work on his 200' game, and his strength, per an interview I heard with either the assistant coach or the head coach (think it was the assistant). He's not NHL-ready by any stretch, per those reports.

However, I have heard more than one person that has either coached him or played with him that said, and I quote, "he has the best shot/one-timer I have ever seen, if he gets space to get it off, it's unstoppable".

- Powerslave

He probably goes to Rochester for a year
So hopefully he can work on it there

Nylander-Asplund-Olofsson
could be a line down there for us
