DSP should find some work, he really had great playoffs.
Duclair I'm not too sure.

- Mashadar

That's the defenseman plan!

Plan A) Overpay John Carlson (failed)
Plan B) Overpay Jack Johnson (In progress)
Plan C) Overpay for De Haan

Duclair played with Drouin in Midget.

You know, the last time Drouin played centre before last season?

And he's best friends with Domi!

It's perfect!

That's even more surprising.

And agree about Grégoire... it's hilarious.

- Scabeh

I mean, nothing against the kid. Big heart....but his skills with the puck, and skating are not there...I mean really far off.

Most people aren't aware there is a contract limit with NHL teams, they need to make decisions and make room for younger players.

If he played centre, I'd be on board.

But we have enough similar winger imo.

Maybe some aged cheddar with a sampling of chianti and other toscan wines?

He was in the second round on a few other teams' lists

Artemi Panarin was also on nobody's list a few years ago.

- stinger67

Panarin in his draft year was 5'8 and teams were still (frank)ing idiots comparing Richard sizes.

In fairness, comparing Richard sizes is 70% of the point of professional hockey.

UFAS are not really how you build your team anyway. You can add here and there once you have a good team/contender, wich mtl is not.

It will be a lot of $$$ for stupid deals.

Why did we trade Subban and DSP then?

it's not giving him away but it makes absolutely no sense for a team that is very clearly not rebuilding.

also, if the trade fell through because he couldn't agree on an extension with LA... doesn't seem like he's that anxious to leave.

- DoubleDown

did it occur to you that maybe it's just he doesn't want to play in l.a.? his family is on the east coast and in 1 more season he will have his choice of where to play. could be florida. could be n.y. he may very well like the city of montreal but captaining this train wreck long term doesn't seem like it's in the cards.

Obviously, you'd rather have both on your team.
