At least he died with a smile on his face and a racist thought in his mind.

So Pacioretty was traded to LA, eh? Interesting. They pretty much have to trade him now.

It fell through so we may never know. Or it will be revisited later on. I can't really see Pacioretty staying now.

I think LA is all about now so it must have been a combination of picks (1st) and/or prospects ((frank)ing Vilardi).

Don't know if LA can make this work out without sending a contract back...so you may be on to something with Brown.

I don't mind taking a bad contract, but the price should then go up. like 2 first (instead of 1) and a prospect

oh, good morning gents!

A first and a top prospect is already a ton. GMS are not giving those away like candies like they used to.

I see your point, but I don't see LA giving up that much.

Habs wanted the kings first round pick to draft to draft Rasmus Kupari which the Kings drafted.

A first round pick and a top prospect is not giving him away.

+, with the word out there about the trade now, it's pretty much over for him in Montreal.

I think he's going to stay. Contract year for him, so he should have a good season. But we'll have the pleasure of seeing his unhappy face each time he'll score a goal.

one thing I know about Pacs is that he is not good under pressure, I wouldn't bet a penny he will have a good season.

It will be a circus if he stays too long. Maybe it turns out like Duchene.

I think if there is one thing that's for sure is that next season will be a circus no matter what.

There was also talk Kings defenseman Jake Muzzin was part of the proposed offer for Pacioretty but that was denied. The Canadiens are also believed to have interest in Carolina Hurricanes center Victor Rask.

it's not giving him away but it makes absolutely no sense for a team that is very clearly not rebuilding.

also, if the trade fell through because he couldn't agree on an extension with LA... doesn't seem like he's that anxious to leave.

Can't wait, in 4 years we should have a second line center now.

Not rebuilding? Not sure there is still a choice as of now. Bergevin kept all of his picks and is about to trade mtl best forward. So don't be so sure about that.

Pacioretty wants some $$$. Nothing to do with wanting to stay in Montreal.
