Personally I think there was some better kids available at #37 than Woo, not that I dislike him but they obviously rated him high, or, they drafted for a need. Would've like to see a center but they really needed both so who am I to judge.

C was pretty weak by then IMO.
Taking a chance on Madden 3rd I like.

Lavoie a big C looks interesting.
Caulfield a very small winger gets a pass for me as a top 5.

A lot of defensemen in the 5'10" / 5'11" range taken...the new NHL.

So the flames traded a very very good 25 year old D-Man because he hated the food at Moxie's

strange reason to get rid of a guy, but to each their own I guess.

Are you kidding me??? There were a lot of good centers on the board, all ranked ahead of Woo. But like I said, I'm not against Woo I just don't think he was BPA at #37.

Woo will be a good right hand shot guy for the Canucks though, I like him!

He seems to rub people the wrong way wherever he goes. They didn't like his personality in Boston either so they shipped him out.

Maybe he's NUCK4U's nephew?

If you had a C at 37 thats fine but none were there for me. Its why i wanted another 2nd somehow to pick one later in the 2nd.

From the few games I seen him, he appeared to be the smartest player in the ice, plus he was buzzing around everywhere.

Here is the draft...

After Veleno went it was thin IMO
McBain & McShane were ok but i like Madden & his upside more.

I'm fine with moving young players like Guddy, Hutton, Stetcher for fair return. I'm fine with moving vets like MDZ for next to nothing. I'm fine with moving core pieces at the TDL. Edler Tanev. Sooner would be fine too.

There is a good market on D. Out of all those names, there should be a deal or two to be found for sure. Not all of them of course...

- boonerbuck

I would sign him right away, When the kid is this hyped don't piss him off. His bother also says now Canucks are his new favorite team.

11M per over 8 years?

Guess the Canucks are gonna have to offer 18M per year over 2 years to stand a chance

Carlson probably 12M for 2 years

Just need 30M of cap space

- Nucker101

Easy, trade tanev and Eriksson together. Boom 30m cap space

Woo is so misunderstood. Now there will be sell outs every game as he is the highest drafted Chinese heritage ever.

Not only that it cost pennies to make sticky rice compared to Gourmet Hot Dogs.

They will make a huge commission selling Jet Woo gear in mainland China to a bunch of men who don't know the difference between a hockey stick and a chop stick.

It is also a lot easier for John Garret to pronounce Woo over Jesse Ylönen but he will find a way to screw it up.

Lastly TaJ Tambir and Lefty need fuel to hate Benning all year

And that my good sir is why we drafted Woo

We drafted a lot of speed this year. We can pick up size and grit in free agency

Just going through all the kids and teams now to see who made out the best. I'm pretty happy with the draft, I just wish they'd have more picks, hopefully next year. So many great kids in the second round, could've picked up a nice center with another pick there.

I saw Benning picked up a SIXTH rounder

Detroit had seven picks in the first three rounds this year, what a hall for those wieners in red
