Hughes wants to sign so it will be Jim's decision.

You'd think after what we saw the last two days, there should be no problem moving a couple of D out of Van...

Which D & what in return? Thx

I'm fine with moving young players like Guddy, Hutton, Stetcher for fair return. I'm fine with moving vets like MDZ for next to nothing. I'm fine with moving core pieces at the TDL. Edler Tanev. Sooner would be fine too.

There is a good market on D. Out of all those names, there should be a deal or two to be found for sure. Not all of them of course...

NYI the Habs & Sabres all come to mind for trade partners.

Some shifty moves keeping D on their heels. That said lots of room out there & less talented opposition. Still though the skills are there indeed ๐Ÿ‘

I think that means the 2020-21 season.
If so thats reasonable expectations & a subtle hint to TL & JB ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

I like Woo but he might have been taken a few spot early but the way defense was getting picked maybe not.

Hopefully madden can pack on some pounds.

When you dont have many picks its kinda tought to have a great draft.

- mauryballstein

What the (frank) does this even mean?. If you like him, you like him. So you draft him. You don't worry about what number Sports Illustrated has him listed at.

What pick are you wanting to pick Woo all with if you like him?

Looking at all of our prospects JB has drafted & traded for tells me BPA as much as i donโ€™t always agree with it is in vogue next & future drafts. If not Hughes then a top 2D if there. Still I believe a trade or 2 has to happen whether preseason or at the TDL. Next season & the following season we look to be very young & many probably agree & should be entertaining.

The Seattle expansion will be a key time for us on who is protected. Idk who but it could get dicey.

Sorry. You don't think drafting the Best Player Available is the best option?

Listen "Pal", lol I love when Ray Ferraro says that when responding to tweets, it's always best practise to take BPA in the first, second and even third rounds but you can perhaps draft more positionally in the later rounds.

BPA is a subjective thing though, your BPA might not be my BPA.

Absa(frank)inglutely fat stuff, but that's what I'm saying BPA on your sheet. Whatever your scouts think BPA. Don't be drafting for need when you have the roster of the Nucks.

(frank) me sideways

This lad liked Woo but a tad later?

You cannot help some people.

Anywho. Nice to see Vantel actually appreciating the draft. Member the days he was so anti draft it was cringe worthy?

BPA says nothing more to me than future considerations says to me. Its a buzzword not a list. Furthermore anyone who speaks of BPA ought to supply me there own list. I wonโ€™t argue the list once provided cuz anyone can pick what any other site says when they all vary from one another. Consensus also doesnโ€™t do it for me.

For example Iโ€™m well known here to offer up my own ideas of BPA & usually explain my reasons why. If JB says Hughes was his pick as in BPA i believe him. Sometimes BPA & need can be one & the same.

Time for a premature look at the potential for the 2019 NHL draft?

http://www.tsn.ca/19-name...e-2019-nhl-draft-1.918703

If we cannot lose for Hughes both Cozens & Byram look awfully tantalizing for our needs. A top 3 looks awesome & could get deeper.

For the record i say we are minimum bottom 5

Raphael Lavoie not on this list.
I could see us selecting Caufield

Personally I think there was some better kids available at #37 than Woo, not that I dislike him but they obviously rated him high, or, they drafted for a need. Would've like to see a center but they really needed both so who am I to judge.
