Given there was a general consensus on a top 10 I felt relatively comfortable with who was going to be taken at 7 and was getting interested in some of the names/reports you guys were providing for 2nd rounders. The likes of Berrgren, Tychonick, Marchenko, Oloffson etc. would have been nice to be in a position to have added one of them as well - WhiteLie
my only complaint of this draft is just that.. once again we should be rebuilding and instead were hanging on vets instead of moving them out for picks.
with the interest in sutter leading up to the deadline there is no reason he shouldnt have been moved. |

Ryan Biech said he started off very good offensively and then got injured . When he came back his coach asked him to change his style and play more defensively when he started to struggle - VANTEL
he was also playing top pairing minutes while they had injuries to brook etc. when brook came back he then took up the minutes that woo had been getting..
if you look at this stats he was a point a game the first 20 games or so..
but like i said he is like a dan hamhuis clone..
would be shocked if he isnt a top 4 guy and wearing an A |

Today wasn't as interesting to me, but definitely not disappointed as I am excited by Hughes. To assess the draft based on where the franchise was before, they addressed a major hole, so I am happy - WhiteLie
I think of the six picks we have a good shot at two playing for Canucks. I am happy that they took care of at least one need.
I hope with free agency they fix one or two more needs |

Yeah every year you hear they had a great draft but how often does a team have three players from one draft playing in the NHL.
Everyone raving how NYI made out like bandits . I am not a huge fan of Dobson I think he is okay
Nucker and DCT think Wahlstrom is a tier three player.
I do think Detroit did very well though.

i think he is a safe bet to get to his ceiling. 2nd pair guy and all reports say he is captain material, which with bo getting the C would qualify him for an A. |

I think our first 2 will be there its whether or not anyone else makes it is the question.
I would have taken dobson over hughes myself, I like the draft that NYI had skarek is great too and wilde is a great boom or bust pick where he was taken..
Detroit did have a good draft too though |

So force AG into 2C & nobody for 3C makes sense how? |

I was high on Wahlstrom but not Dobson. Both are solid picks and imo nyi cleaned up good. Let’s not kid. They made out like bandits.
On Dobson, his character alone is top tier for where he is projected. Brent SEabrook of the draft. |

Hughes aside, I think it was a pretty "meh" year. I think some safer picks but can't complain that they have a few more defense in the system with higher ceilings than what existed before
Very jealous of Detroit's haul. I think they did really well in the first few rounds. Islanders got a few good ones as well - WhiteLie
Agreed about NYI and Detroit. I think we will be over the moon this time next year. I see a boat load of picks coming our way. |
