One of them managed to get on the first line, the other played 2c. Ferland will not be on the first line in carolina, maybe 2nd but likely the 3rd line.

I think Lindholm is what he is now, I’m seeing people say 60+ point potential but I really don’t see it.

I just see other teams with plenty of cap space as well that could use a stopgap C so I have a feeling Dallas would have multiple teams interested in taking on Spezza.

Shame. I was hoping the most overrated player of the last decade would keep on disappointing teams when they acquire him due to his nationality and size. Canadian doesn’t equal playoff success.

Guy is 34 years old, which is old for an NHL player, he's been a wicked goal scorer over his career, mostly as a sub 30 younger player. Just couldn't figure out how to score in the playoffs though.

They went back because clearly neither of them earned those spots. I think the standard ought to be, but honestly (and I am huge on development) Hughes is good enough skill wise to play right away.

I'm in the opinion that he's ready for pro.

Were going to find out. I think he is very good 200 foot player, can easily put up 60 if on the 1st line and PP1 in Calgary, which I sw on one report he is being slotted straight into.

Ya he's got to put on some muscle, but he's not actually that under weight for his height. I really think we've got an Ellis or possibly better calibre player here.

One thing I've noticed is that JB is unafraid to draft d-first defence men, I respect the poop out of this. Woo I think can do both and has been underrated in the o-zone, but I mean in general with guys like Birsbois or Utenen

Montreal like vantel said.

NYI, NYR, TOR, CGY, CAR, ARZ could all potentially use a C to play on their 2nd or 3rd lines

- Nucker101

I think we have like 5 centres now ...but sure add another lol

All depends on if he clicks on the top line ...if he plays all year on the top line he will get over 50 points for sure

It’s a long summer lol

I don’t have the patience or time to argue about the deal ....I think they gave up too much but I like the players we got in the deal so I’ll give it a chance

None of us do, but they've already called his agent so clearly there's some interest.

I personally did.'t even want to give up our 7 th for Hanifin never mind Hamilton. Sounds like a lot of locker room stuff going on over there

It has to be bigger than that . You don't trade Hamilton who said he wants out with the player that is hated. Fox did not want to sign. There is a divided dressing room

Free agency time. As long as Jim goes in with the idea nothing more than 3 years we should be okay.

I think he will pick up 2 forwards . He may pick up a defender also. I have not heard of any contract talk mentioned about Jake or Sven . I don't know if they have been qualified ? Is today the last day?
