A great thing about Hughes is it will take a lot of pressure off Pettersson. Before Friday the weight of the entire Canuck nation rested on EPs shoulders.

Judd Bracket . Now this is what a GM should look and sound like.

I just watched that -he's incredibly informed, its as if the information is bursting out of him while the questions are being asked. He's obviously much more articulate than JB, and that makes Jim come across poorly but i don't think he's an idiot - i'm glad Judd's our right hand man. Im hoping his role continues to be more influential moving forward

I wanted someone else. I also think he'll be a decent player. I just wanted a forward with way more upside at that point. How the players other people wanted turn out will determine if it's a mind changer as much as Woo's results do.

After hearing parts of the story from Bob Mac, Brackett, Woo and his dad - they all said he started off on fire last year, then got injured, came back and had another injury and then when he finally was back for the end of the season, his role had changed a bit, in terms of usage. I'll be really interested to see how this upcoming season plays out for him, hopefully he'll be healthy and we get a better idea of what we got.

It is not only appearance and speech . I think Jim is too much of a nice guy and will soon get mowed over. I don't like how he gets close to the players. He makes a lot of decisions with his heart and not his head

You are supposed to laugh. I'm the last person on earth that should play spelling nazi.

- boonerbuck

I'm laughing on the inside, you should see where I am and there's actually cell coverage here. I could walk for days and never find a village or town, of course I'd be dead as it was 49C here today.

They built a small gas plant here and they're doing some additions thus there's a cell tower here. So I use my iPhone to buzz.

maybe - but we don't know what goes on exactly behind closed doors. Trading players isn't as cut and dry as we all make it out be in here. He moved on from Burrows and Hanson and it worked out really well, he treated the Sedins with class and let them go out on their own terms, but then he seems to let guys like Edler, dictate their fate, although MNC/NTC tend to have that power.
I think that shows he has the ability to play both sides. Being loyal to your players is something that would attract players to the franchise - but yes it can bite us in the a$$ too. blessing and curse

Takes pressure off OJ as well. He's no longer the entire focus of our next generation of dmen.

Vancouver Canucks select Russian RW Artyom Manukyan
in round 6 (186th overall) of 2018 NHL draft.
Manukyan is listed at 5'7" 139 pounds.

Even funnier... he was passed over twice in the draft already. Three times the charm. He must of been listed at 100 pounds two drafts ago...

Ok, if you think the Islanders has a great draft, you have to go deeper than their back to back first round picks, because seriously, that was a layup from right under the basket. They didn’t do anything but take guys that 12 other teams passed on. Same as Detroit. And the volume that these teams had is also not about “having a good draft”, they didn’t do anything this weekend but make the picks they acquired during the season.

Wrong again, I'm not a gigalo either, but that hammer does swing around...

Oh well, I hope the fire engine red, Dodge Ram 1500 with a 6"body lift and a hemi with resonators makes you feel more adequately endowed.

Ive actually never set foot on a rig in my life, but I'm told those guys are some of the hardest working guys you'll ever find.

No lift kit on my truck, 100% stock, 2006 and still running strong, not quite the 4500 you have but sufficient enough to pull a large boat.
