If...and obviously it's a huge if...the Leafs are in a position to sign both Carlson and Tavares.

A) Do you do it?

B) If you do, who do you trade this off-season? Or do you wait until next year to deal players and let some walk?

Personally I sign both hopefully for a combined $18 million, Tavares for 10, Carlson 8.

Then trade Gardiner for a winger on an expiring contract and see if you can score your way to the Cup.

If not then send Nylander next summer somewhere for a d-man.
