I think I am officially the last person on Earth who thinks that while they were a nice story and have a few nice pieces that their run was about as flukish as it gets out of an expansion draft

Statistically you’re not going to hit on many later round picks, but again, they’ve seemingly hit on recent later round picks like Laczynski, Allison, Hart, Strome, Marody( who they swapped for a third round pick). Ghost was a 3rd rounder also.

There's only so many ways to project and profile these kids. I stand by what I said -- if Mike Richards was getting drafted today, he would've been absolutely picked apart because his biggest measurables were his compete level and hockey sense

Funny story time (not made up)...

My first year of High School and first gym class of the year, I am sitting on the bleachers. Gym teacher is calling out names to hand out locks for gym lockers. No one is really paying attention much then all of a sudden he starts to stumble around on a name. He finally blurts out...."Yoooou, Yooou Suck Wang". A kid stands up and says "You can call me Ray". When we played ball hockey in class later, the chant was "You Suck Wang, You Suck Wang".
