Let’s draft another Dman and trade a better draft pick this year to a division rival for a worse one next year. Effin doofus of a GM. Glad Homie starting to see the light. We wanted to make this draft about Rasmus Dahlin, the only guarantee, and blow off the rest of the draft. That’s embarrassing. GMTM should still be here. Too bad he was too brash for the lovable loser fan base. Congratulations, you got what you wanted.

What is worse:

Trading a 6th round pick for another 6th round pick.

Or

Trading a first round pick for a mediocre goalie

there’s no difference in talent level between guys picked 156 & 176

disagree

you sucked to be in position to make that pick at 156, not 176

it's not like we have prospects coming out our a$$

grab a college kid, a goalie or a euro with speed

instead we gave the leafs a gift

He’s played less that 5 games at wing in Buffalo.

And just because people forget and then can’t find anything in 30 seconds of goodie search doesn’t mean it never happened

- Shadman306

He played the first 5 games of his Buffalo career at wing. He wouldn't have done that if it "was a big reason he wanted out of Colorado" less than 4 months earlier.

None of this invented narrative that he hates wing has ever made sense. People just said it until it was accepted as fact, because it suits the narrative that ROR is problematic.

He played wing for Canada this spring, and he's played wing for Buffalo. He'll do it again if he's asked

Just saying you can’t be angry at gmjb for making that move and praise gmtm.

That post was directed at the guy that said gmtm should still be here.

We are panning our gm for trading a 6th for a 6th when he didn’t like anyone else in the 6th. And then saying because of that gmtm should still be here even though he threw draft picks around like he was playing xbox.

So everyone’s mad he didn’t trade RoR today so we are finding a flaw to whine about.

All of this female doging about the GM, or ROR, or a 6th round pick on a weekend where we got Dahlin is (frank)ing absurd

how would you feel if we traded our first pick in the 5th rd to the capitals for their 5th rd pick next year

I have yet to hear one of you people hating on me answer that

Show me a stat that says a player picked earlier in the 6th is better than a mid 6th

But that's not what this is about.

This is 💯% about ROR still being here

I mean, I’m disappointed we didn’t move RoR for Zadina too. But if we were only offered peanuts I can’t be upset at gmjb for not pulling the trigger.

We can’t assume everyone was throwing heaps of players and prospects on us and we were saying no.

Perhaps we weren’t offered anything worth while

I don't think having an established, defined #1 LW will make or break our season. I'm ready to give: Smith, O'regan, Nylander, Oloffson, a shot at #1 LW during camp and see if chemistry happens with Eichel and Reinhart.

If no one steps up for the 1LW, than stick Mittelstadt there and let him ease in the NHL on the wing instead of 3C.

- sskkoo1

If you go that route, then Girgensons comes into camp as your #1 LW. I just don't think they can do that. It's the worst group of LW's in the entire NHL. It has to be addressed, instead of hoping for a miracle.

I wouldn’t care whatsoever.

It’s a lottery ticket.

If you assume there’s one winning ticket in each year then it’s actually beneficial to have two in the same year even it it’s a year later.

One 6th round pick who MAY develop into a third liner 3 years from now will not make or break our chances at winning a cup.

no this is about a gm who got fleeced by the leafs and punted instead of swing for the fence

nothing to do with ror

I have been saying ever since we got dahlin, I feel it's a mistake to trade ror and risto

There were two (TWO!) trades in the league that involved players.

You're not an NHL GM, why, again? Please tell...

What's he supposed to do? Force at gun point? There were no deals anywhere. Deal with it. It's a long summer. He knows he has to change things up, he said so himself.

well another gm got a 5th next year for a later rd pick

again, your move

would you have been fine trading our 5th rd pick to the capitols, first in the 5th rd pick, for their 5th rd pick next year

if no, explain why

His CHL scouts probably love him. He sucked as a player and is even worse as a GM. Since he is a nice guy, the Pegulas will stick by the loser. People vehemently supporting him voted for Hillary. Guaranteed.

no it really does

if we traded the first pick in the 4th rd to the bruins for their 4th rd next year, how would you feel?

if we traded the first pick in the 5th rd to washington for their 5th rd pick next year, how would you feel?

all 30 gm's would have made that trade with botts today, w/o flinching

I have been around buffalo sports long enough to know what happened

we were the 31st place team in the nhl and punted on a pick today instead of being aggressive and making a move

- homiedclown

Bemused. Far from angry. Especially since you don't know what else was discussed.
