With the 32nd pick, the Sabres have selected Mattias Samuelsson from the U.S. NTDP. Heading to Western Michigan. Big kid, high-character leader. Steady on the back line with excellent battle skills. I had him ranked 20th.

Great size and really nice mobility for a 6'4" guy. Nice pedigree and leader of team. Another LHD which makes no sense to me. I would have traded down and this guy prob would have still prob been available around 40, but who knows.

Exactly, there is so much need in this organization just continue to go BPA. In round 2 you can't draft for current need because these kids are about three to five years away. They need to get Wingers through FA or trade.

Nothing gets you better trade currency than drafting and developing great prospects.
