Why do people think his career is over if he signs with the Isles? This team is COMPLETELY different under Lou. The fact that Snow is not calling the shot literally changes everything. You have a good hockey mind currently calling the shots. Tavares is going to get skilled players to play with and the Isles will get improved goaltending.

Isles could be contenders next season if Lou plays his card right.

Anders Lee is a good 1st line player. He can be inconsistent at times but when he is on his game he is dangerous as frank.

Boychuck and Leddy are solid D options and there are so many more options available D wise going into the draft\FA

Assuming NYI sign Tavares. Islanders only need to do a few things to be a contender again

1) A RW to play with JT and Lee
2) A RW to play with Barzal and Eberle
3) Sign a goalie
4) Try to get rid of Ladd

D wise I believe they only got 3 guys signed so they will also need to sign new Dmen or resign their Dmen. Apparently they are in the running for Karlsson.
