Jeez this writer is definitely blowing smoke up this franchise's ass. Montreal is a hot mess and has an absolutely terrible farm system and on paper this team is hot garbage. The team has no identity, 3 third lines, no centre's and a horrible management group who has refused to develop and has punished their own young players. Galchenyuk is far more talented than Domi, Subban was younger, better and cheaper than Webber, Drouin is soft and overrated and Sergachev was all around an elite prospect to give up for a winger that these clowns actually believed could play center. Eller was an all around very impactful player they just gave up on. It is just so frustrating to watch this piss poor franchise operate and it is just as pitiful to read articles by a dude who refuses to wake up and smell the coffee and tries to sell us this bullpoop. Montreal relative to every other franchise, has the worse prospect pool in the NHL and although individually there are 3-5 guys that I like on this team, the TEAM stinks when you place beside almost every other NHL team. They already got worse coming into this draft by trading Galchenyuk and they will be in the hunt for Jack Hughes next year, no matter what moves Bergevin makes. This ship is sinking very quickly and 3 years of gross incompetence cannot be salvaged in 1 off season

And Zadina should be the slam dunk pick here, only a trade down to get Quinn hughes, Noah Dobson or Adam Boqvist would be tolerable. I do not see how if they stay pat, they pass on a guy who projects as a dynamic point-per-game player. Pair him up hopefully with Jack Hughes next year and the rebuild all of a sudden starts to take nice shape

Agree for most part. Some nitpicks though, Subban was 9 vs Webers just under 8 (yeah I know length). Also Lars Eller is very inconsistent; I still think we got the better of that trade value wise if it wasn't for the fact he traded Debrincat and Girard for Andrew (frank)ing Shaw after.
