unless they let go of one of their young talent, i dont see how the Leafs fits everybody under the cap. Marner and Mathews are coming fast for payday - BoutchBouchard
Kadri could be traded for a young D on an ELC until Marleau is gone |

Lol! Fine you talked me into it.
Do you think any major trades will happen before July 1? Or do you think Tavares is holding everything up? |

It's been a really good draft for the Habs so far. |

I like that Cole Fonstad pick, undersized center but highly skilled |

McShane is a good pick up where they got him too, seen quite a bit of him in Oshawa, was hoping they'd grab him |

They screwed up big time choosing Romanov over Groulx. Other than that an ok draft. |

Apparently Romanov is a mobile, skilled defenseman...he wasn't ranked that high though...they surely saw something they liked |

Meh.
Habs move down. Habs trading Pick 62 to Edm for 71 and 133.
Once again, MB heads in the wrong direction. - Mashadar
After pick 20-25... the rest are all an equal crap-shoot. The more shots you get on goal the better. If we could actually develop players like some of the better teams can then it would be a real steal. |

From bobby mac on twitter:
No picks involved, it's the five players: Lindholm and Hanifin for Hamilton, Ferland and Fox. As I reported yesterday, the negotiating meeting between Lindholm's agent and the Hurricanes did not go well, paving the way for this trade |

Apparently you are unaware of what a crap-shoot is...
Nevertheless, go back and look at every draft from 1996-2015 and you will see there are more all-stars and amazing players that fell into the 6th, 7th rounds and went undrafted than there were in the 2nd-5th rounds respectively. And in total, those numbers are shockingly low.
So after the first 20 or so picks... the odds of getting a great player or future star are slim-to-none. Therefore, its a crapshoot, and the more shots you have the better. |
