Soon...I’m slammed today. Buying a new set of clubs and then I have ball practice followed by a margarita party at my place

I’ve heard of Woo but I’ll admit I don’t really know anyone outside of the first round. I know nothing about Madden.

My buddy and I were ecstatic that we almost got Zadina but we are really happy with Hughes!

I was listening on the radio yesterday, before Detroit picked I heard the question, would the Canucks choose Zadina if he is there? sounded like a no brainer.

anyway, if Hughes pans out, we will have that offensive dman that we have lacked for years.

I just cringe a little when I see how small the guys are that we drafted. hoping their wheels and all make up for it.

I cringed a little when i saw Maddens size too but aparently he's lightning fast so I'm okay with the risk. I bet Woo grows another inch or 2 and he's already over 200 lbs so we're good there. Perfect balance to the Hughes pick

Ditto. Based on the broadcast's comments made about Woo makes me a little uncertain about his ceiling, and Madden reminds me a lot of Lockwood, who I like. Seems to be a consistent theme of good skaters chosen so far

I was listening to 1040 for the first time in ages as I was out while the draft was going on and I wanted to blow my brains out. The on-air guys were praising the pick of Hughes, and two of the 3 callers were bashing the pick because as a college kid he could walk in 3 years. Disagree with players all you want, but that is literally the dumbest reason to not pick a guy in the top-10

yep

we have been lacking D and grit...

maybe one of these guys will play with more grit than Edler or Hutton.

I'm not in a rush to write off anyone. these are young kids. will enjoy seeing where we are headed.

I wanna be entertained.

I was looking at his point totals and size and wondering what JB was thinking then i realized he was a D and not a forward. Undersized still but could be something

Great pick! Already played against men and he is obviously undersized. Playing in Liiga next season

Thats kinda what I assumed. 6'-0" guy that plays the physical game in juniors, likely won't translate the same way in the pro's, then I saw he was a RH shot and figured that was the attraction

He’s a decent skater and has good hockey sense but yeah offensively he’s going to be limited. Not someone you want on the PP but good “neutral zone awareness” and can move the puck effectively out of his zone.
