I'm a huge fan of building through the draft, I'm excited about all these kids, some more than others but I'm not gonna deny Benning a compliment when he does something that's good IMO.

A big downfall for me is he hasn't picked enough.

The D looked like it was drafted for upside, not floor. Looked that way, in 10 years we can talk about who was the best, I'm pretty happy with Hughes, didn't want a LHD, but I hope he can put the puck in the net.

I can partially agree. His hands were tied up with contracts & no prospects. We all wanted a faster rebuild but it wasn’t a reasonable wish. Sure some moves he has been roasted for but i chalk it up more to some impatience on his part & the fans with FA at the root of it to begin with.
